K-Electric Plans to Raise the Price by Rs. 1.43 Per Unit

K-Electrics has submitted the application to raise the rates of electricity by Rs.1.43, to NEPRA. According to the management of K-Electrics, the reason of this request is because of the expensive procurement from the NTDC. They said that the management has to compensate for that expensive supply of Electricity. They also gave the reason for this increase as due to the Monthly Fuel Adjustment and Quarterly Tariff, they should be allowed to charge more from the consumers. They stated in the application that the company has bear the expenses of Fuel adjustment of around Rs. 56 million.
