KARACHI: Just after the hate speech given by the ex-chairman of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain, the whole Mukka Chowk which once stood in all its glory of MQM was riped of its banners and notices including the picture of Altaf Hussain. The Mukka Chowk on Monday renamed the city’s well known land mark as Shaheed-i-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan Chowk.
“The roundabout/junction, connecting Blocks 7, 8 and 9, Azizabad, Federal B Area, Karachi, known as Mukka Chowk, is named as Shaheed-i-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan Chowk, with immediate effect,” a notification issued by the city’s District Municipal Corporation read.immediate effect,” a notification issued by the city’s District Municipal Corporation read.
Mukka Chowk Restored Name ‘Liaquat Ali Khan Chowk’
After the recent event against state, MQM party laborers had assaulted the workplace of a media house and conflicted with police, bringing about the demise of a man. Twelve individuals were harmed in the conflict.
From that point forward, the army and legislature has captured various MQM specialists and many its workplaces, including its home office Nine-Zero, have been fixed. Various MQM workplaces based on violated and transgressed land have also been demolished.
