According to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, should there be any threat to Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity, the Kingdom should expect full support from Pakistan.
Radio Pakistan has reported that the prime minister met with Saudi Arabia’s deputy crown prince and defence minister, Mohammed bin Salman, with whom he exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional situation.
The purpose of the meeting was to talk about Pakistan’s inclusion in the 34-nation anti-terror coalition of Islamic countries recently formed by KSA.
Just four days before this visit, Adel al Jubeir, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister has arrived in Islamabad in order to discuss the matter of the coalition, and during the course of this meeting he had met with several military and civil leaders including the army chief and the prime minister.
General Raheel Sharif Chief of Army Staff reiterated his view that an attack on Saudi Arabia would be met with a strong response from Pakistan, according to a statement from ISPR.
The Saudi deputy crown prince had conducted a meeting with army chief General Raheel Sharif at the General Headquarters of the Pakistan Army in Rawalpindi and in the meeting both had discussed several matters related to cooperation over defence and regional security.
