Petrol Prices Drop in the International Market Beyond the Point Where its Cheaper than Water

Petrol prices continue their decline in the international market. According to media reports petrol cost Rs. 39/litre in the international market whereas it is being water price at Rs. 50/litre in Pakistan. Experts indicate a further decline in the international market.

OGRA has drafted a working paper on petroleum product prices. According to the working paper the prices of High speed diesel are expected to fall by 15 rupees per litre, those of petrol by 10 rupees 37 paisas, high octane prices to fall by 9 rupees per litre, kerosene oil and light speed diesel to fall by 8 rupees 11 paisas.

According to finance ministry final summary of the petroleum product prices will be delivered by OGRA on 29 January.
