I WILL BE RETIRED ON DUE DATE – ARMY CHIEF RAHEEL SHARIF ANNOUNCING THAT HE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY EXTENSION IN HIS TENURE OF SERVICE
Rawalpindi (Monitoring desk) – Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has refused to accept extension in his tenure of service.
DG-ISPR Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa said in his message on the social networking website that Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has refused to accept any extension in his tenure of service and rumors in this regard are false.
Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has said that he will retire on the due date and he does not believe in taking extension. Adding further he said that national interest is of prime importance and Pakistan Army is a great institution which has an orderly procedure and I will follow the same procedure. Pakistan’s national interest has the greatest priority and we will defend it at all costs. Counter terrorist activities will continue with high spirits and the succeeding army chief will carry it on with the same spirit.
