Daren Sammy has learned some of the Pashto language words as he has just played for the Pakistan Super league’s side Peshawar Zalmi. He showed his skills of Pashto by thanking the Pakistani Fans for supporting him and his team in this World Cup.
In the recent video of him posted just after the big win of the final against England, he said to the Pakistani Fans that he will try to speak Pashto. After creating the curiosity, he finally spoke in the Pashto language. He said in Pashto that he is very thankful to the support of Pakistanis and also showed his intent to visit Peshawar. In the end, he also praised Javed Afridi, the owner of Peshawar Zalmi.
Javed Afridi has also shown his appreciation by announcing a whopping prize of $20,000 for the West Indian Captain. Javed was actually impressed with the team spirit and particularly with the captaincy skills of Daren Sammy. This prize is announced on behalf of the Peshawar Zalmi.
Bangladeshi Player, Tamim Iqbal appreciated this humble act of Javed Afridi, in his tweet. He was also a part of Peshawar Zalmi in the recent PSL.
Darren Sammy also said that he is anxious to play again for Peshawar Zalmi and also told the story about his Pasto that it is gradually improving.
